Job summary

Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd in Auckland is seeking a Service Technician for our Chain & Rigging team. You will operate a mobile testing vehicle, visit customers across the Auckland region, performing on-site testing, certification, repairs, and maintenance of lifting and height safety equipment.

You will build strong customer relationships, manage your visit schedule, keep compliance records, and identify opportunities to promote additional products.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical/technical experience preferred.
• Positive, self-motivated with reliability.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building.
• Strong communicator, can work independently or in a team.
• Basic computer literacy; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site testing, certification, repair, and maintenance of lifting and height safety equipment.
• Operate and maintain a fully equipped mobile workshop van.
• Plan and execute regular customer visits to maintain compliance and service.
• Promote mobile testing service and identify upsell opportunities.
• Keep detailed records, manage van stock, and process invoices.
• Deliver excellent customer service and meet performance targets.
• Maintain high health, safety and quality standards.
