Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks New Zealand is seeking a skilled technician for a permanent, full-time role based in Ashburton as part of the Christchurch team in Canterbury. You will repair and maintain a large fleet of forklifts, including battery electric and internal combustion models, across your assigned area both in the workshop and on customer sites.

Requirements include a minimum of 3 years' Material Handling Equipment or related mechanical experience and/or a trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' Material Handling Equipment experience or Auto Electrical, Diesel or Motor Mechanic experience and/or trade qualification or hydraulics experience.
• Must be customer-focused, solutions-oriented and ready to work in a collaborative team.
• IT savvy and an agile learner; able to build rapport with customers and handle manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform field-based or site-based repairs and maintenance on forklifts within the Canterbury region.
• Work with our Christchurch team in the workshop and on customer sites to ensure excellent service.
• Handle on-call duties and potential paid overtime; travel may be required.
• Learn Crown products with available training materials to support career progression.
