Job summary

Hairini Medical Centre in Tauranga is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our GP-owned practice. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling enquiries, bookings and messages.

• Previous medical reception or general practice experience is preferred.

We are a small, GP owned General Practice in Tauranga. We are looking for an enthusiastic receptionist to join our team.

About the Role:
This is a varied role where you'll be the first point of contact for many of our patients. Your duties include:

Welcoming patients and managing enquiries.

Answering telephone calls and booking appointments.

Managing patient messages, emails and administrative enquiries.

Scanning and filing paperwork, maintaining patient records and confidentiality.

Supporting our doctors, nurses and wider practice team.

About you

We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable, reliable and enjoys working with people.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Confidence using computers and learning new systems.

Ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment.

A positive, team-focused attitude.

Previous medical reception or general practice experience is preferred.

Experience with Indici, or an equivalent general practice system, would be an advantage.
