Job summary

Auckland Family Medical Centre in Remuera/Newmarket is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team. You will welcome patients, manage appointments, handle payments and invoices, answer calls, and support the wider clinical staff in a busy primary care setting.

Ideal candidates have prior reception experience, familiarity with Medtech Evolution is a plus, and strong numeracy, communication, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, ideally in primary care is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
• Experience with Medtech Evolution (or strong ability to learn quickly)
• Mandarin language skills are a bonus, but not required
• Strong numeracy skills with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to their role
• Able to remain calm, professional, and organised in a busy environment
• Proactive and comfortable working both independently and as a part of a team

Auckland Family Medical Centre is a well-established general practice in Remuera/Newmarket, and we are looking for a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team.

We pride ourselves on a genuinely warm workplace culture. This vacancy has become available as one of our long-standing full-time receptionists moves on to pursue an exciting new career.

This is a frontline position within a busy and growing practice. The role includes welcoming patients, managing appointments, processing invoices and payments, answering calls, handling administrative tasks, and supporting the wider clinical team.
