Job summary

Stantec is offering an undergraduate Mechanical Engineer internship in New Zealand. The 10-week program provides hands-on experience across building services projects in Christchurch, Auckland, or Wellington, with mentors and opportunities to progress to a graduate role.

Open to second/third year students studying mechanical engineering, candidates should have or be nearing a full driving licence and be available from late November 2026 to February 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be in your second or third year of university study.
• Preferably hold a full, clean current driving licence.
• Available to commence 23 November 2026 to 12 February 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist on building services projects across healthcare, commercial, residential and critical facilities.
• Gain hands-on experience in mechanical design from concept to construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with a supportive team across Stantec’s Buildings group in NZ.
