Stantec invites undergraduate Mechanical Engineers in their second or third year to join our Buildings team for a 10-week summer internship across Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch. You’ll gain hands-on experience in building services, from HVAC to energy efficiency, under mentors and a supportive network.

Expect a structured program, with a starting salary of $29.90 per hour, and potential progression to a permanent graduate role. Applications close early August 2026.

Competenze

• Be in your second or third year of study in mechanical engineering or related qualifications.
• Preferably have a full, clean current driving licence.
• Able to commence work 23 November 2026 to 12 February 2027.

• Gain practical experience on a range of building services projects.

• Contribute to design and commissioning activities under supervision.
