Beca seeks an experienced power industry leader to head the Southern Power team, based in Christchurch. You will lead a multidisciplinary group of about 35 engineers, designers and specialists, guiding technical direction and project delivery across energy and infrastructure projects in New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

We are seeking an experienced power industry professional to lead our Southern team as Manager - Power, Southern based in Christchurch. Leading a team of approximately 35 engineers, designers and specialists, this role combines technical leadership, people leadership and business performance. You will bring experience from an engineering consultancy, utility, network owner, renewable energy developer, contractor or similar infrastructure environment, with the ability to provide both technical guidance and leadership. Working closely with technical leaders, project directors and client managers, you'll help develop our people, support project delivery, strengthen client relationships and drive sustainable growth across the Power business. This is an opportunity to influence both the technical direction and culture of a high-performing team while contributing to some of the most significant energy and infrastructure projects across New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region. You are an experienced leader with a strong background in the power sector and a passion for both technical excellence and people development. You may currently be a Team Leader, Engineering Manager, Principal Engineer, Technical Director, Project Manager or similar, with experience gained in an engineering consultancy, utility, transmission or distribution business, renewable energy organisation or major infrastructure environment.

  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing engineering professionals.
