Job summary

Beca Limited is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Industrial team in Invercargill, with a site-based delivery role and real responsibility. You will work on sustaining capital and larger regional industrial projects, delivering end-to-end ownership with autonomy.

You will manage projects end-to-end, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with Southland clients across dairy and heavy industries, supported by Beca’s national capability.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience ideally within industrial brownfield or operational environments.
• Experience managing projects up to $5 million, including scope, programme, cost and risk.
• The ability to work independently in a regional delivery environment.
• A client-focused, practical mindset, with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sustaining capital projects such as equipment replacements, safety upgrades and reliability improvements.
• Support major capital projects as they arise.
• Manage projects end to end from scope and planning through to delivery, working with client teams and national capability.
• Build strong, trusted client relationships through consistent, high-quality delivery.
• Work confidently in a site-based delivery environment, partnering with operational teams and stakeholders.

This is a site‑based delivery role offering real responsibility, strong client exposure and the backing of Beca’s wider national capability. You’ll work closely with key Southland-based clients across the dairy and heavy industries, delivering a mix of sustaining capital and larger regional industrial projects. • Managing projects end to end, from scope and planning through to delivery - working alongside client teams with support from Beca’s wider national capability

• Working confidently and independently in a site based delivery environment, partnering with operational teams and key stakeholders, drawing on national project support where needed
