Beca is seeking a senior Maritime or Coastal Engineer to lead complex ports and marine infrastructure projects in our Auckland team. You will combine deep technical design with practical delivery, guiding teams and building trusted client relationships while delivering high-quality engineering solutions in coastal environments.

Travel across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands may be involved as part of project delivery.

With a strong current and future portfolio of projects, we are seeking professionals with experience in Maritime and Coastal Engineering to join our diverse Auckland team, known for delivering high levels of performance across a varied client base. You are a senior Maritime or Coastal Engineer with a strong track record of leading complex ports and marine infrastructure projects. You combine deep technical expertise with practical delivery experience and are confident operating across both design and construction environments. You enjoy leading teams, building client relationships and delivering high‑quality, pragmatic engineering solutions in challenging coastal and marine settings. We’re looking for individuals who bring:

• Proven leadership in delivering ports and maritime infrastructure projects, from concept through to construction support
• Strong technical expertise in marine structures design (e.g. wharves, piling, breakwaters, coastal protection)
• Deep understanding of marine construction and constructability, including logistics, temporary works and challenging site conditions
• Client relationship and stakeholder management experience, with a track record of building trust and winning/retaining work
• Commercial and project delivery capability, including programme, cost, risk and contract awareness
