The Yummy Fruit Company in Hawke's Bay seeks a Management Accountant to join our finance team, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting while supporting the wider business.

The role offers flexibility for part-time or full-time work, with opportunities to develop Excel-based analyses, budgeting, and statutory reporting across GST, PAYE, FBT, and RWT.

Qualifications

• Holds a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Has good knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
• Possesses strong attention to detail.
• Is a team player willing to contribute to the overall team's success.
• Has a desire to continue learning and evolving as part of a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Maintenance - journal entries, reconciliations.
• Cashflow Monitoring.
• Financial Reporting - month end accounts, budget variance analysis.
• Tax Compliance - GST, PAYE, FBT, RWT.
• Other Finance Support - accounts payable, payroll.

We're seeking an enthusiastic Management Accountant to join our team!

Since 1862, we've grown from a local orchard to a beloved national brand, known for our quality apples and innovative stone fruit varieties. Our orchards in Hawke's Bay continue to produce some of New Zealand's finest fruits, thanks to our dedicated team and cutting-edge practices.

We want this person to be a team player, willing to support the wider team across all finance functions. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate financial records are kept and reported in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

General Ledger Maintenance - journal entries, reconciliations

Cashflow Monitoring

Financial Reporting - month end accounts, budget variance analysis

Tax Compliance - GST, PAYE, FBT, RWT

Other Finance Support - accounts payable, payroll

About you

Holds a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
