Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Alexandra, Central Otago is seeking a commercially minded management accountant to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will partner with operational leaders to deliver reporting, insights, and analysis that shape smart decisions across the business.

You'll prepare monthly management accounts, support budgeting and cashflow planning, and provide commercial insights to operational teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• Experience in management accounting, commercial finance, or business partnering.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence with financial systems.
• Clear communication and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a commercially minded management accountant to join our team in Alexandra, Central Otago on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Role Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls, and business performance.

We're looking for someone with

• A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in management accounting, commercial finance, or business partnering, or a strong willingness to learn if you're starting out.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
• Sound analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem solving.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
