Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities in Auckland is seeking a Maintenance Operations Coordinator to process high volumes of maintenance requests, validate details, and prepare accurate work orders for delivery. Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, operations, maintenance, property, facilities, scheduling, coordination, or a related environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately assess information and make sound decisions.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external providers.
• Experience applying processes, policies and procedures consistently and confidently.
• Confidence using multiple online systems and digital applications.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to delivering positive customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume maintenance requests with accuracy, consistency and speed.
• Assess and validate service requests, determine the right trade and priority, and create accurate work orders.
• Manage workflows across the system to plan, prioritise and deliver efficiently.
• Coordinate with maintenance partners, contractors and internal teams to ensure clear, complete, and timely information.
• Track progress, monitor performance and keep stakeholders informed, especially for urgent or complex cases.
• Contribute to a nationally consistent approach by following SOPs, identifying improvements and maturing the model.
