Job summary

Opal Kiwi Packaging is seeking an energetic Maintenance Electrician to join our Wiri-based team. You will work Monday to Friday, 7am–4pm, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing machinery to keep our plant running efficiently.

This hands-on role requires current electrical registration, industrial maintenance/installation experience, PLC knowledge, and the ability to work unsupervised, under pressure, while communicating clearly.

Qualifications

• Must hold current electrical registration and practising licence.
• Experience in industrial electrical installation or maintenance.
• PLC experience and fault-finding skills.

We are looking for an energetic, proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our Wiri based team to work Monday through Friday, 7am - 4pm.

Being a 'hands on' role, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault finding and repairing machinery to optimise our equipment reliability and performance, providing system support to ensure our plant operates efficiently at all times.

Based in Wiri, your role will involve:

• Machine maintenance

• Optimizing equipment reliability and performance

To be successful in this role you must be a keen and energetic individual with the following background:

• Current full electrical registration and practicing licence
• Experience in industrial electrical installation or maintenance
• PLC experience
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Flexibility, initiative, and proactive
• Leadership abilities
• Have an understanding of mechanical concepts
• Have a practical approach to diagnosing and solving problems, working methodically and accurately, especially when under pressure
• Have the ability work unsupervised
• Be responsible and logical
• Ability to work overtime when required
