Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our growing team, delivering industrial electrical installation, servicing and maintenance across kiwifruit, horticultural and agricultural sectors.

You will fault-find, work on motor controls, pumps, switchboards and control systems, and contribute to upgrades and automation projects while building strong customer relationships in a supportive, down-to-earth environment.

Qualifications

• NZ registered electrician with current practising licence.
• Industrial electrical experience or willingness to move into industrial work.
• Strong fault finding and problem solving abilities.
• High quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with customers and team members.
• Full NZ driver licence.
• Experience with motor controls, automation, PLCs or VSDs is a bonus.

We are a newly formed industrial electrical and controls company with a strong, established client base across the kiwifruit, horticultural and agricultural sectors. Although the company is new, the relationships, industry experience and workload behind it are not. We already work with a wide range of growers, packhouses, coolstores and rural businesses throughout the region, providing industrial electrical, automation, controls and maintenance services.

We are a tight‑knit, down‑to‑earth team with a great culture. We work hard, support each other and take pride in delivering a high standard of work, while still enjoying a good laugh along the way. We are looking for someone who will fit well within the team and contribute positively as the business continues to grow.

Due to continued demand, we are looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join us.

The role...

This is a varied, hands‑on position involving:

• Industrial electrical installation, servicing and maintenance
• Fault finding and breakdown support
• Motor controls, pumps, switchboards and control systems
• Coolstore, packhouse and horticultural electrical work
• Upgrades, automation projects and preventative maintenance
• Building strong, long‑term relationships with our customers

No two days will be the same. You could be working on a pump system one day, fault‑finding machinery in a packhouse the next, or helping deliver a new industrial controls project.

About you ...

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a New Zealand registered electrician with a current practising licence
• Has industrial electrical experience or is keen to move further into industrial work
• Is confident with fault finding and problem solving
• Takes pride in producing high‑quality work
• Communicates well with customers, workmates and other tradies
• Is reliable, practical and able to work independently
• Enjoys being part of a close team and brings a positive attitude
• Holds a full New Zealand driver licence
• Experience with motor controls, automation, PLCs or VSDs would be a bonus but not essential
