Job summary

InterContinental Auckland is seeking a proactive Food & Beverage Supervisor for Advieh Restaurant & Bar. You will lead service across dining and beverage operations, report to the Restaurant & Bar Manager, and guide the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Role involves supervising peak service, overseeing breakfast to in-room dining, and collaborating with culinary and front-of-house teams to uphold standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising a food and beverage team in a premium restaurant, bar or hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and bar operations, with barista and mixology experience highly regarded.
• A genuine passion for exceptional guest experiences, with the ability to coach and inspire your team to deliver warm, personalised service.
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across the hotel.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead calmly and efficiently during busy service periods.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Valid working rights in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Guest Service – warmly greet, seat and engage with guests to ensure a memorable dining experience.
• Reservations & Flow – manage reservations and seating arrangements for optimal guest experience.
• Operations – oversee daily service across breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-room dining.
• Hands-On Support – lead by example during peak times, including barista duties and on-floor assistance.
• Team Development – supervise and support training of Food & Beverage colleagues.
• Collaboration – work with culinary, bar and front-of-house teams to ensure consistent service.
• Guest Recovery – address guest concerns professionally to ensure positive outcomes.
• Standards & Compliance – maintain strict health & safety and hygiene standards.
• Responsible Business – support sustainability initiatives like waste reduction and energy conservation.
