Whau Valley School in Northland is seeking a dedicated Year 1–6 teacher with a current practising certificate to join our vibrant school from 2027. You will help coordinate learning and behavioural support with our Learning Support Team, whānau and external agencies in a trauma-informed, inclusive environment.
You will lead Learning Assistants, support teacher capability, and strengthen inclusive practices in line with the NZ Curriculum and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, working closely with the Senior

As a trauma-informed, progressive and inclusive school, we are committed to ensuring every learner is understood, supported and empowered to succeed. Working alongside our senior leadership team, teachers, learning assistants, whānau and specialist agencies, to play a key role in coordinating learning and behavioural support and strengthening inclusive practice across our school.
The specific responsibilities of the role will be shaped around the strengths and expertise of the successful applicant. Management unit(s) may be available for a suitably qualified and experienced applicant.
