Job summary

Toll Group’s Toll Global Forwarding business in New Zealand is seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to join the Auckland sales team. Reporting to the Country Sales Manager, you will identify new business opportunities, grow existing customer relationships and contribute to customer growth and business performance.

This role can be based in Auckland, Christchurch or Napier, and offers opportunities to develop in logistics and freight forwarding within a global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related.
• 1-2 years' experience in sales, logistics or customer service.
• Freight forwarding or logistics industry exposure is advantageous.
• Ability to build customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn CRM platforms and sales methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted industries and territories.
• Grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and solution-based selling.
• Build strong customer relationships and understand customer supply chain needs.
• Contribute to RFQs, customer proposals and bid responses.
