Job summary

TCB Logistics NZ is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead our freight forwarding, transport, and logistics business. You will report to the Directors and drive performance, growth, and strategic direction while delivering exceptional service to customers.

The role requires senior leadership experience in freight forwarding and logistics, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to build high-performing teams across operations, sales, and admin.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transport, or supply chain.
• Proven track record in managing business operations, budgets, and financial performance.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Exceptional leadership and people management capabilities.
• Understanding of transport operations, fleet management, and logistics processes.
• Experience developing and executing strategic business plans.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and regulatory compliance obligations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute TCB's strategic vision and business plan.
• Lead all freight forwarding, transport, and logistics operations to drive efficiency and profitability.
• Manage day-to-day performance with focus on long-term growth.
• Drive revenue growth through customer retention, partnerships, and new opportunities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with transport, customs, freight forwarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, carriers, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team across operations, customer service, and transport functions.
• Monitor KPIs for service delivery, profitability, and safety.
