Job summary

Foodstuffs NZ in Wanaka is seeking a dedicated department head to manage our wine and beer offer with passion for craft beverages. You will drive range, pricing and in-store presentation to delight customers daily, drawing on category management principles and strong product knowledge.

Reporting to the store Owner, you will lead, train and develop staff, build supplier relationships, and ensure food safety and workplace safety standards are met while achieving department targets.

Qualifications

• Employing up to date category management principles for deciding the store's range of product and product placement in store.
• Developing and implementing a store specific promotional program to compliment the group promotions.
• Ensuring the financial targets of the department are met.
• Maintaining an excellent relationship with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Leading, training and developing departmental staff.
• Ensuring the store's processes, Food safety & Workplace Safety requirements are adhered to.

Our customers are at the forefront of our thinking and you will manage the department to delight our customers daily, with range, knowledge, and awesome customer service.

Reporting directly to the store Owner you will be accountable for:

• Employing up to date category management principles for deciding the stores range of product and product placement in store.
• Developing and implementing a store specific promotional program to compliment the group promotions.
• Ensuring the financial targets of the department are met
• Maintaining an excellent relationship with suppliers and manufactures
• Leading, training and developing departmental staff
• Ensuring the stores processes, Food safety & Workplace Safety requirements are adhered too.

This is a permanent full time position Sunday to Thursday of 40- 45 hours per week with 6 am starts.
