Job summary

New World Wanaka is seeking a capable Duty Manager to lead the busy retail floor and support the team while upholding product standards and safety. You will help organise daily operations, manage merchandising and stock, and ensure compliance with health and safety and food safety policies.

We value leadership, clear communication and a positive attitude. Roles involve weekend shifts and an hourly pay rate of NZD 28.00–32.00, with on‑the‑job training in a locally owned store.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a supermarket.
• A Manager’s Certificate (liquor licence) or ability to obtain one.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Confident in leading and supporting a team.
• Sound problem solving and decision making ability.
• Experience with SAP or similar systems.
• A Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience working in a fresh food department.

Pay rate range for these positions are $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. The shifts for these roles will include weekends. These roles relate to ANZSCO 142111 (Skill level 2) Retail Manager.
