Job summary

Cosgrove School in Auckland is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) to support a diverse learner population.

The role involves early identification of learning needs, coordinating IEPs, and collaborating with families, SENCO, and leaders to ensure inclusive practice aligned with the Cosgrove Way.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

• Early identification of students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Developing an understanding of student needs through, for example observations.
• Support classroom teachers to adapt learning environments, design targeted interventions, and implement differentiated teaching strategies. This may include modelling effective strategies to teachers/learning assistants.
• Partner closely with families to ensure their child's educational journey is transparent, collaborative, and aligned with school values.
• Work alongside other agencies and work closely with our school's SENCO and leadership team.
• Assist teachers and learning assistantsin executing individual education plans (IEPs) effectively.

What we are looking for:

• A registered teacher with a current New Zealand Practising Certificate.
• Proven experience working with neurodiverse learners and students with complex learning needs.
• Strong relational and communication skills.
