At Kauri Park School, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, belong and succeed. We are looking for an exceptional Learning Support Coordinator who shares that belief and wants to make a genuine difference for our tamariki, their whānau and the people who work alongside them.
This is more than a coordination role. We are looking for someone who can understand the needs of the child, strengthen the adults around them, and improve the systems that support them.
The successful applicant will be an experienced, reflective teacher with a strong understanding of learning support and inclusive practice. You will work alongside teachers and teacher aides to identify needs early, build staff capability and help develop evidence-informed approaches that make a genuine difference for learners.
Relationships are central to this role. You will work closely with tamariki, whānau, staff, specialists and outside agencies, ensuring learner and whānau voice remains at the heart of decision-making.
We are looking for someone with high expectations for every learner, strong professional judgement, excellent communication and organisation, and a commitment to culturally responsive practice.
Applicants must be registered teachers with a current practising certificate.
Most importantly, we want someone who believes learning support is about removing barriers so every child has the best possible opportunity to succeed.
If you want to be part of a tight-knit school community committed to growing good people who make their community better, we would love to hear from you.
