Job summary

Hutt City Council in Wellington, New Zealand, is seeking a Learning & Development Advisor to design, coordinate and deliver learning experiences that lift capability and performance across our people.

You''ll bring creativity and L&D expertise, lead induction programs, facilitate workshops, and collaborate with internal teams and external providers to create practical, accessible learning that supports our people to do their best mahi.

Qualifications

• Background in learning and development or related field.
• Experience designing and delivering capability-building initiatives, including eLearning.
• Experience with learning systems and authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Ensure learning activities are well planned, engaging and aligned to organisational priorities.

About The Role

As our Learning & Development Advisor, you'll bring our L&D programme to life through coordinating, designing and delivering relevant and positive learning experiences.

In This Role You Will

About You

You're an enthusiastic L&D professional who enjoys bringing ideas to life. You combine strong coordination skills with creativity, curiosity and a customer-focused approach, and you're energised by creating learning that is practical, engaging and easy to access.

You'll bring a background in learning and development, education or a related field, along with experience designing and delivering capability-building initiatives, including self-paced and eLearning content. Ideally, you'll have experience with learning systems and authoring tools such as Chameleon, Articulate, Rise and Adobe Illustrator.

You'll also be personable, approachable and confident connecting with people at all levels. You'll bring a growth mindset, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to making a positive contribution.
