Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa - Department of Corrections is seeking a Learning and Development Designer to support the effectiveness of our learning systems, curriculum and resources. You will partner with stakeholders to design engaging learning solutions and assist in analysis, development and evaluation to meet a diverse range of learner needs.

You will create learner‑centered content, foster collaboration, and help staff apply new knowledge and skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting learning systems standards and administration.
• Understanding of learning principles and experience in designing learning solutions.
• A flair for design and experience creating visually engaging content.
• Ability to develop and maintain clear documentation and plans.
• Working knowledge of current L&D technology trends and directions.

Working with stakeholders you will also contribute to the analysis, development and design of learning solutions that meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.Critical to success will be your ability to create engaging learner experiences and motivate our staff to learn and apply new knowledge and skills. You'll also need the interpersonal skills to be able to engage with the different stakeholders and design learning products collaboratively.
