Job summary

Hutt City Council is seeking a Learning & Development Advisor to design, coordinate and deliver engaging learning experiences that build capability and lift performance across our organisation. About the role

As our Learning & Development Advisor, you’ll bring our L&D programme to life through coordinating, designing and delivering relevant and positive learning experiences.

In this role you will:

• Ensure learning activities are well planned, engaging and aligned to organisational priorities.
• Design and curate engaging learning content, including eLearning, visual assets and on-brand resources.
• Lead Council induction and facilitate workshops, webinars and face-to-face learning.
• Work closely with internal teams, leaders, facilitators and external providers.
• Use data, feedback and emerging L&D trends to continuously improve learning experiences and maximise impact.

About you

You're an enthusiastic L&D professional who enjoys bringing ideas to life. You combine strong coordination skills with creativity, curiosity and a customer-focused approach, and you're energised by creating learning that is practical, engaging and easy to access.

You'll bring a background in learning and development, education or a related field, along with experience designing and delivering capability-building initiatives, including self-paced and eLearning content.

Ideally, you'll have experience with learning systems and authoring tools such as Chameleon, Articulate, Rise and Adobe Illustrator. You'll also be personable, approachable and confident connecting with people at all levels.

You'll bring a growth mindset, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to making a positive contribution.
