Mercury NZ is seeking a senior L&D leader to drive Mercury's enterprise-wide learning and capability strategy across the organisation. You will build frameworks, identify capability needs, and partner with OD to deliver scalable, digitally enabled learning programs.
You will lead a small team of L&D specialists, manage learning systems and budgets, and use data to measure impact while guiding a culture of continuous development. Flexible Auckland/Tauranga base with travel and hybrid work options.

This newly created role will lead Mercury’s enterprise-wide approach to learning and workforce capability, helping ensure our people have the skills needed to deliver our strategic priorities now and into the future.
You’ll build and implement a workforce capability strategy that brings greater focus, consistency and governance to learning across Mercury. Working with leaders, People Experience teams, technical learning specialists and subject matter experts, you’ll identify capability priorities and turn them into practical, well-designed learning solutions.
You’ll lead a small team of L&D specialists with an enterprise-wide remit and work closely with our Organisational Development team on initiatives that drive a connected, high performing culture.
This role has the flexibility to be based in Auckland or Tauranga, with travel to key Mercury sites required. We support work/life flexibility, with the option to work from home up to two days each week and an expectation of three days in the office.
