Aberdeen Primary School in Hamilton is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Assistant to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom.

Aberdeen Primary School is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Assistant's to join our supportive team in Hamilton, Waikato. This is a full-time, fixed term position that plays a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping to create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment. As a Learning Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to enhance the learning experiences of all students, with particular focus on those who require additional support to reach their full potential.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a variety of learning needs.
Help to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Collaborate with teachers, and other support staff to implement individualised learning plans.
Genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs and helping all students succeed
Experience working with children in an educational, care or support setting (either paid or voluntary)
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families
Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding student wellbeing
