Job summary

Archway Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead day-to-day on-site operations across Wellington construction projects. You will supervise trades, coordinate programmes, and act as the link between site, stakeholders, and management to deliver quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have a trade qualification in carpentry, proven supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of NZ regulations and safety. On-site leadership and problem-solving will be key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in carpentry or related building trade.
• Proven supervisory experience on construction sites.
• Knowledge of NZ building regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily site operations across construction projects.
• Supervising site personnel, tradespeople, and subcontractors.
• Coordinating work programmes and project sequencing.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Carrying out and managing defect inspections.
• Monitoring quality assurance and compliance requirements.
• Conducting toolbox talks and promoting a strong health and safety culture.
• Managing materials, equipment, and labour resources.
• Identifying and resolving site issues proactively.
• Maintaining site records, reporting, and project documentation.
• Building positive relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
