Job summary

Taranaki is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a large complex project in New Zealand. You will join an established on-site team, leading packages, developing short term programmes and coordinating with subcontractors and consultants.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with clients and design teams. Relocation to Taranaki may be required as the project progresses.

Qualifications

• New Zealand experienced site manager, trade or tertiary qualifications.
• Stable career with a New Zealand Main contractor.
• Experience managing commercial grade projects (over $10m in value).
• Good with project systems and reporting.
• Positive and motivating leadership style.
• Proven ability to build collaborative working relationships.
• Based or able to relocate and live in Taranaki.

Responsibilities

• Develop short term construction programmes and manage project schedules.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Organise and manage subcontractors and issue RFIs.
• Problem resolution and design and documentation management.
• Maintain site reporting and safety-first culture.
• Collaborate with client and specialist consultants to resolve issues quickly.

Job description

Join a leading contractor on a large complex project with an industry leader. This complex project is underway and as site work is ramping up we’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join an experienced and supportive team.

With around 2 years of work ahead you will join an established site team, managing large complex packages of work including developing short term construction programmes, identifying risks, organising and managing sub contractors, problem resolution, design and documentation management, RFIs, site reporting and leading a health and safety first culture.

A key focus will be your ability to work closely with client and specialist consultants and quickly problem solves any issues.

Required background
