Job summary

Recruit Plus Limited is seeking an experienced Site Manager in Auckland to oversee daily construction site operations, coordinate designers, consultants and subcontractors, and ensure timely project delivery. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in site management for residential or terraced housing, proven coordination skills, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as Site Manager/Foreman or similar on-site role in residential construction
• Experience managing residential or terraced housing projects is preferred
• Able to read architectural and structural drawings and related specs
• Strong on-site coordination to manage multiple subcontractors
• Good planning, organization and problem-solving skills
• Strong English communication, both written and oral
• NZ Health & Safety familiarity and valid NZ driver licence

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager who will be responsible for the daily management of the construction site, coordinating resources, overseeing construction quality, and ensuring timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily management and progress control of the construction site
• Coordinate owners, designers, consultants, subcontractors and on-site construction teams
• Supervise construction quality to ensure compliance with building regulations, design drawings and project requirements
• Formulate and implement construction plans to ensure timely delivery of projects
• Implement and enforce on-site Health & Safety requirements
• Identify and resolve problems in the construction process to ensure smooth progress of the project
• Establish good team collaboration relationships and maintain an efficient and orderly construction site

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Site Manager, Foreman, or related on-site management role in residential construction (Intermediate / Senior level)
• Experience in independently managing residential or terraced housing (Terraced Housing / Medium-density) projects is preferred
• Able to proficiently read architectural drawings, structural drawings, construction specifications and related technical documents
• Excellent on-site coordination ability, able to manage multiple subcontracting teams
• Good planning, organization and problem-solving skills
• Good English oral and written communication skills
• Familiar with New Zealand's Health & Safety requirements
• Hold a New Zealand Driver Licence
• Those with LBP (Site 1 or Carpentry) qualifications are preferred
• Hold a valid work visa in New Zealand (Resident, Permanent Resident or other valid work visa)
