Job summary

Radius Matua in Tauranga, NZ, is seeking a friendly Laundry Assistant to support our aged care residents. You will sort, wash, dry and fold laundry, keep resident areas clean, and help provide a caring, comfortable environment focused on wellbeing.

This casual role offers weekend and public holiday work with future potential for part-time hours, training available, and opportunities to develop NZQA qualifications. Visa considerations apply per policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care or laundry is preferred.
• Ability to follow infection control measures.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry and fold resident laundry.
• Clean resident and communal areas.
• Restock PPE and paper products as required.
• Follow facility laundry task lists and infection control policies.
• Ensure tasks are completed and signed off per policy.

Location:Radius Matua, 124 Levers Rd, Matua, Tauranga

Hours of work: Casual, as and when required, with the possibility of part-time hours in the future for the right candidate. Must be flexible, and prepared to work weekends and public holidays.

Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for this role. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

About the role:

Assist with sorting, washing, drying and folding, and ensure that our residential aged care facility residents receive their clean, folded clothes in a timely manner. Provide an efficient cleaning service. Help create a caring, comfortable environment, with a focus on resident wellbeing and individual needs.

Duties include:

• Cleaning resident and communal areas

• Utilising appropriate infection control measures

• Restocking paper products, personal protective equipment (PPE), personal hygiene items

• Assisting with all laundry processing, i.e. sorting, washing to correct cycle, drying and folding

• Following the laundry task list per facility policy

• Ensuring that all tasks and check lists are completed and signed-off
