Job summary

Carve It Up in Bayfair Shopping Mall, Mt Maunganui is seeking a Short Order Cook to prepare breakfast on a hot plate and support kitchen operations. You will work across a 5-day roster, with hours from 8am to 7pm on busier days.

Applicants should have leadership experience in retail food, provide friendly customer service during high-volume times, supervise staff, and handle cash. Reliable transport is essential; visa restrictions may apply.

Carve It Up in Bayfair Shopping Mall, Mt Maunganui provides hot roast meals, sandwich’s, wraps, rolls and a Breakfast menu.

Do you have strong people skills, professional attitude, self motivated and have skills in and around the kitchen?

We are open 7 days and Hours per week range from 25 to 40 hours.

Applicant requirements

• Have management/leadership experience in the retail food industry or similar.
• Be able to provide excellent, friendly customer service, often during high volume, fast paced, busy times.
• Able to work unsupervised and supervise staff.
• Short order Cook – making breakfast on hot plate.
• Kitchen preparation of food as required.
• Take instructions from owners and accomplish tasks efficiently.
• Well groomed, professional attitude to customers and fellow workmates.
• Weekly cleaning of equipment and plant. Daily cleaning of shop front and back
• Opening/Closing store supervising staff and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness always.
• Cash Handling
• Need to have reliable transport
• Available 5 days a week, mostly fixed roster shift work anytime from 8am to 7pm (2 late nights on a rotating roster)
