As a Café Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals, supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the kitchen, and ensuring our customers receive a great café experience. This is a busy and fast‑paced role, so the successful candidate must be able to work efficiently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities

Preparing and cooking high-quality café meals according to company recipes and standards

Ensuring food is consistently presented to a high standard

Managing food preparation and service efficiently during busy periods

Following all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures

Ensuring correct food storage, temperature control, stock rotation, and food handling procedures are followed at all times

Completing required food safety checks and documentation

Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment

Completing daily cleaning tasks to a high standard

Ensuring kitchen equipment, benches, floors, storage areas, and workstations are thoroughly cleaned and maintained

Managing food waste and maintaining efficient stock control

About you

A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Chef

Previous experience working in a café, restaurant, or similar fast‑paced hospitality environment

Strong knowledge and understanding of food safety, hygiene, and cleaning requirements

Experience maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation

The ability to work efficiently and remain calm during busy service periods

Strong organisational and time‑management skills

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent attention to detail

A commitment to consistently delivering high- quality food and excellent customer experiences

Available to work Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays when required, between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM
