We are looking for a motivated and experienced kitchen professional who can work effectively in a busy, systemised kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 2year of experience in a busy commercial kitchen , or a relevant qualification in Culinary Arts or a similar field
Experience working in a systemised kitchen environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food preparation and kitchen operations
A willingness to learn, develop new skills, and take on new challenges
The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistent food quality and service standards
Full-time position , minimum 30 hours per week
Availability to work weekends and some public holidays
Night shifts included
Flexible availability and a positive attitude are essential
Design, plan, and price menus based on customer preferences, seasonal availability, and business requirements
Train and manage kitchen staff, and assist with the recruitment of kitchen team members when required
Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard, ensuring excellent presentation
Monitor stock levels and place orders as required
Manage food costs and minimise waste through effective stock control and kitchen practices
Apply appropriate techniques for the safe freezing, storage, and preservation of food
Communicate food preparation and operational issues effectively with management and relevant kitchen and service staff
Estimate and monitor food and labour costs to help maintain profitability
Monitor and manage inventory to minimise waste and ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations
Oversee the quality and consistency of dishes throughout all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation
