Job summary

Qualifications

• A full clean NZ Driver Licence is required.
• First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential.
• Understanding and applying Kaupapa Māori principles in the workplace.
• Adaptable, honest, reliable and confidential.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for tangata whaiora and walk alongside those whose voices are sometimes drowned out.
• Address, enhance and restore tapu so tangata whaiora have mana to achieve their goals.
• Know when to assist and when to stay in the background, mindful of power dynamics.
• Actively mitigate power dynamics with mana-enhancing service delivery practices.

Your Role:

To advocate for those whose voices are sometimes drowned out. To walk alongside tangata whaiora who sometimes need guidance. To address, enhance and restore the tapu of tangata whaiora so they have mana to achieve their goals in life. To know when to assist and when to stay in the background. to always be aware of your role and inherent power dynamics associated with your role and actively mitigate those with mana enhancing service delivery practices.

A bit about you and your experience:

• A full clean NZ Driver Licence - required


• Current First Aid Certificate preferred but not essential.


• Understanding of and ability to apply Kaupapa Māori principles in the workplace.


• Adaptable, honest, reliable, and confidential
