Job summary

Hynds Pipe Systems Limited is seeking a proactive Level 1/2 IT Support Analyst to join our Auckland IT team. You’ll provide hands-on support across our nationwide network, covering hardware, software, and business applications.

You’ll troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, and device management while enabling onboarding/offboarding and contributing to tech rollouts. Strong customer focus and NZ Driver Licence required.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, or IT Support role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills within Windows environments.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 apps and services.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, networking, and device administration.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
• Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceDesk Plus).
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Availability to be on call.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across hardware, software, and business applications.

• Support Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office).
• Manage user accounts, MFA, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Deploy and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and peripherals.
• Assist with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and endpoint management.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Travel to sites as required to provide hands-on support.
• Contribute to IT projects, upgrades, and technology rollouts.
• Create support documentation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern Microsoft technologies, support a diverse user base, and contribute to projects that help drive digital transformation across the business.

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, you'll support employees across our branches, manufacturing plants, distribution centres, and corporate offices throughout New Zealand.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across hardware, software, and business applications
• Troubleshoot Windows devices, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, printers, and connectivity issues
• Support Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office

About You

You'll combine strong technical skills with a passion for helping people.

Essential

• Experience in an IT Helpdesk, Service Desk, or IT Support role
• Strong troubleshooting skills within Windows environments
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, networking, and device administration
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
• Experience with ServiceDesk Plus or similar ITSM platforms
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Availability to be on call (when required)

Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot
• Exposure to manufacturing or operational technology environments
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
• Microsoft certifications or relevant IT qualifications
