Job summary

Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is seeking an Engineer – IT Service Operations to provide frontline support to kaimahi and tauira across Aotearoa. You will be the go-to expert for resolving technical issues, ensuring system reliability, and delivering timely, high-quality assistance.

Remote and onsite support are included. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, monitor ICT systems, and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Computing (Level 5) or relevant qualification.
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) required.
• 2+ years’ experience in an IT service desk or remote support role.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and networking.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft/Apple operating systems.
• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to participate in cultural activities and Māori knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support requests across phone, chat, email, and the support portal.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Provide onsite support for installations, upgrades, and equipment setup.
• Monitor and maintain ICT systems to support stability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and service delivery.
• Build strong relationships and deliver excellent customer service to all users.
