Job summary

Auckland City International College of Auckland Limited is seeking a proactive ICT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support for staff and students, maintain ICT infrastructure, and assist with digital learning platforms across the campus.

The role involves installing and configuring hardware and software, managing accounts and licences, and contributing to ICT security and policy compliance. 30–40 hours per week, on-site at the campus.

Qualifications

  • NZQA Level 6 Diploma or higher in IT or related ICT discipline, or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of ICT support, desktop support, helpdesk or technical support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure ICT hardware and software for staff and students.
  • Configure security settings and ensure secure installation of ICT equipment.
  • Deliver hardware and resources to work areas and classrooms as required.
  • Set up laptops, projectors, interactive boards, AV equipment and other ICT gear.
  • Support meeting room technology, AV systems, and hybrid working solutions.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to external providers and assist in solutions.
  • Assist with deployment of new hardware/software, including procurement support and testing.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions and software licences in line with policy.
