Job summary

Fletcher Building Limited is seeking an Inventory Coordinator based at Tauriko to ensure timely supply of products and maintain accurate stock records. You will work with the Inventory Manager to plan and optimise the flow of materials across manufacturing and warehousing.

The role emphasises analytical problem solving, ERP proficiency and collaboration across Planning, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams, with a focus on cycle counts, stock takes and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory, supply chain, or logistics coordination.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Sound understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and supply chain processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
  • Manufacturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are correctly reflected in inventory systems.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, completing reconciliations and stock adjustments as required.
  • Coordinate inventory transfers, stock movements, and inventory adjustments to maintain accurate stock records and support operational requirements.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and biannual stocktakes, identifying and addressing variances.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Warehousing, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to optimise inventory availability and stock control processes.
  • Support reporting, inventory control improvements, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

About the Role

Based at our Tauriko site, our Inventory Coordinator plays a significant role ensuring sufficient supply of products to meet demand. Taking an analytical approach to developing and executing plans, you will work with the Inventory Manager to oversee the supply flow of materials, organising and maintaining inventory systems. You build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and are a confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively across teams. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you'll bring experience in inventory management within a fast-paced environment, along with:

  • Experience in an inventory, supply chain, or logistics coordination role.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • A sound understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and supply chain processes.
