Job summary

Fletcher Building Group's Tauranga site is seeking a Manufacturing Support Officer to help manage data flow between Production, Distribution and Supply Chain. You will maintain accurate system data and support production and inventory transactions to keep the site running smoothly.

You will coordinate inventory, assist with reporting and provide essential admin support, including purchasing and PPE coordination.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in manufacturing, production support or similar.
• Qualification in Operations Management, Manufacturing or Supply Chain
• Advanced capability using ERP systems such as JDE or SAP
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to build effective working relationships across production, distribution and support teams

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Support Officer, you'll be at the centre of our Tauriko manufacturing operation, supporting the flow of information between Production, Distribution and Supply Chain teams. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate system data, coordinating production and inventory transactions, supporting reporting requirements, and providing operational and administrative support that helps keep the site running smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate production, inventory and operational data within JDE
• Supporting production planning and operational scheduling activities
• Coordinating inventory and warehouse transactions across production and distribution teams
• Providing office administration support, including purchasing and PPE coordination
• Assisting with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

About You

You'll enjoy working with systems, data and people in equal measure and have experience supporting a manufacturing, production or operational environment. Highly organised and proactive, you'll thrive in a fast-paced setting and be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Ideally, you'll have:

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, production support, operational coordination or similar role, supported by relevant prior work experience
• A qualification in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or a related discipline
• Advanced capability using ERP systems such as JDE, SAP or similar
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to build effective working relationships across production, distribution and support teams
