Job summary

Tyler Wren in New Zealand seeks a seasoned BAS professional to manage a mixed client portfolio and lead advisory conversations. You will review compliance work, prepare financial statements and tax returns for complex clients, and contribute to growth through advisory opportunities.

Ideal candidates are relationship-driven, with 5+ years in BAS and familiarity with Xero, Spotlight Reporting, and Figured as advantageous. This role is office-based near Pukekohe with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Around 5+ years experience in BAS within a New Zealand public practice firm.
• Confident communicator who enjoys building client relationships.
• Experience with Xero - Spotlight Reporting and Figured would be advantageous.
• Strong reviewing experience – could be outsourced work, peer review or work prepared by junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, approximately 70% commercial and 30% agriculture.
• Lead client meetings and act as a trusted advisor.
• Review compliance work to ensure high quality delivery.
• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for complex clients.
• Contribute to advisory work and identify opportunities to add value.
