Job summary

Bakertilly Staples Rodway NZ is seeking an experienced accountant with a strong farming sector focus to become a trusted adviser for agricultural clients. The role involves analysing profitability, planning strategically, and conducting due diligence for business transactions.

You will valuations, succession planning, governance support and using farm software to optimise client systems. This is a full-time position with opportunities for flexible day structure and some work-from-home days.

Qualifications

• CA qualification with 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Thorough knowledge of farming sector and agriculture.
• 8+ years at a CA firm with Agri and/or commercial clients.
• Desire for long-term career with the firm.
• Proven ability to solve business and accounting problems.
• Passion for helping clients manage their business.
• Excellent organisation and self-starting attitude.
• Experience with Xero, Figured, MYOB and Cash Manager Focus.

Responsibilities

• Profitability analysis for client businesses.
• Strategic planning sessions with clients.
• Due Diligence for buy/sell transactions.

About you

• CA qualification (with 5 years experience post CA)
