Qualifications

Acorn Stairlifts is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused In-Home Sales Representative to join our growing team in Auckland. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives whilst building a rewarding sales career. As an In-Home Sales Representative, you will be responsible for visiting clients in their homes to demonstrate our stairlifts and mobility solutions, understand their needs, and guide them towards the right product for their situation. This role is pivotal to our business success, as you will be the face of Acorn Stairlifts, building relationships with customers and driving sales through consultative and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to prospective and existing customers to assess their mobility needs and demonstrate stairlift solutions
• Provide expert product knowledge and personalised recommendations based on individual customer requirements and home layouts
• Build strong rapport with customers and their families, earning their trust through professional and empathetic communication
• Complete sales consultations, including accurate measurements and site surveys, ensuring all information is properly documented
• Prepare and present quotations that clearly outline product features, pricing, and benefits
• Follow up with customers to address queries, overcome objections, and close sales
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, visits, and sales outcomes using our CRM system
• Collaborate with the installation and customer service teams to ensure smooth handover and customer satisfaction
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets whilst maintaining high-quality customer service standards
• Represent Acorn Stairlifts professionally at all times, upholding our brand values and commitment to customer care, including exhibitions and trade shows.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in field sales, consultative selling, or customer-facing roles within a B2C or B2B environment
• Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing deals
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse customer groups
• Ability to conduct effective needs analysis and provide tailored solutions to customers
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting
• Valid driving licence, with flexibility to travel throughout the greater Auckland region and beyond.
• Physical ability to carry out home visits and perform basic demonstrations of stairlift products
• Customer-focused mindset with genuine empathy for the needs of elderly or mobility-impaired individuals
• Self-motivated and organised, with excellent time management and planning skills
• Professional appearance and demeanour suitable for representing a reputable brand in customers' homes
• Preferred: Experience in the healthcare, mobility, home services, or retirement sectors
• Preferred: Knowledge of accessibility solutions or assistive technology products
