Job summary

The People’s Project, part of Wise Group, is hiring a Specialist Case Manager in Hamilton. You’ll support people to access and sustain housing, navigating complex needs and systems while working Monday–Friday in a 40-hour week. The role aligns with Housing First principles and focuses on equitable outcomes.

You’ll collaborate with landlords, health services, and social services to co-create housing and wellbeing plans, ensuring dignity and mana guiding every interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, addiction, housing or social services.
• Ability to work with complex, intersecting needs and to navigate systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet people where they are in the community or in their homes.
• Build trusting relationships grounded in mana and dignity.
• Co-create housing and wellbeing plans with clients.
• Work with landlords, health providers, and social services to support tenancies.
• Navigate across systems (MSD, Kāinga Ora, ACC, health services) to remove barriers and advocate equitable outcomes.
• Support people to sustain tenancies and stay connected to communities.
