Job summary

The People’s Project, part of the Wise Group, is seeking a Specialist Case Manager in Tauranga to support people to access and sustain housing while navigating complex needs. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start/finish times and alignment to the Social Worker pay spine.

You will work across health, housing, and social services to remove barriers, advocate for tenants, and build sustainable wellbeing pathways in our community.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, addiction, housing, or social services.
• Ability to combine warmth with strong decision-making and consistency under pressure.
• Commitment to equity, mana, and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Meet people where they are in the community, in public spaces, or in their homes.
• Build trusting, respectful relationships grounded in mana and dignity.
• Co-create housing and wellbeing plans.
• Work collaboratively with landlords, health providers, and social services.
• Navigate and work across systems to remove barriers and advocate for equitable outcomes.
• Support people to sustain tenancies and remain connected in their communities.
