Job summary

Mountain Club in Queenstown is seeking a dedicated Host & Event Coordinator to greet members, run the bar, and deliver seamless events across two venues. This full-time role blends hospitality and event coordination, with hands-on duties from setup to post-event wrap-up.

You'll build run sheets, manage logistics, and ensure every detail aligns with our standard of outstanding experiences. A minimum 12-month stay in Queenstown is expected.

Qualifications

• NZ Duty Manager's Certificate or LCQ with ability to apply.
• At least two years' hospitality experience.
• Confidence making great coffee; cocktail experience is a bonus.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple events.
• Calm head when plans change.
• Excellent communication and ability to connect with people.
• Initiative, flexibility, and a real passion for delivering outstanding experiences.
• Commitment to living in Queenstown for a minimum of 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming members and guests with warm, genuine hospitality across both venues.
• Managing host desk duties, room bookings, and day-to-day venue operations.
• Running barista and bar service to a consistently high standard.
• Creating detailed event run sheets and coordinating all logistics; catering, AV, equipment, suppliers, etc...
• Leading event setup, execution, and pack-down.
• Serving as the on-site duty manager for licensed events.
• Capturing event content for internal use and socials.
• Occasionally supporting the wider events team on special projects.
