Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team in New Zealand. You will work with experienced engineers on electrical projects across the project lifecycle, gaining hands-on design, calculations, and site exposure.
You’ll contribute to developing electrical systems, learn industry codes and standards, and grow your professional network through our mentoring, flexible hours, and a supportive graduate programme across Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton, Dunedin and Wellington.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Full clean driving licence preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with investigation, analysis, and design of electrical systems
- Perform engineering calculations using industry software
- Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, reports, and presentations
- Assist with developing electrical designs in accordance with codes, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver innovative solutions
- Support construction-phase activities, including reviewing contractor submissions and technical queries
- Undertake site visits and field work to gain practical project experience
- Contribute to a positive team culture and professional network
