Stantec in New Zealand invites recent graduates to join our Graduate Electrical Engineer (Power) program. You will work with experienced engineers across the project lifecycle, contributing to design and delivery of electrical systems, and gaining hands-on experience in power engineering across multiple NZ locations.

The 2-year accredited development program supports your engineering accreditation with mentoring, training, and flexible work options, including a base salary of NZD 74,000 plus

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related field with expected completion before employment start.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the investigation, analysis, and design of electrical engineering systems and components.
• Perform engineering calculations using industry-standard software.
• Support the preparation of electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, reports and presentations.
• Help develop electrical designs in line with codes, standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions.
• Assist with construction-phase activities including reviewing contractor submissions and responding to technical queries.
• Undertake site visits to gain practical project experience.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and professional development.
