Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer (Power) in New Zealand. You’ll work with experienced engineers on electrical projects and gain hands-on experience across the project lifecycle.

This is a 2‑year graduate development programme with a base salary of NZD 74,000 plus benefits, including insurance and flexible working options. You’ll join a globally connected team across NZ and Australia.

Qualifications

• Must be a new graduate or expect to graduate in 2026 with an Electrical Engineering qualification or related field.
• As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to power engineering projects and learn across the project lifecycle.
• Eligibility includes completion before commencing employment (approx Jan–Feb 2027) and a clean driving licence if possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the investigation, analysis and design of electrical engineering systems and components.
• Perform engineering calculations using industry-standard software.
• Support preparation of electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions.
• Support construction-phase activities and site visits to gain practical experience.
