Job summary

INEX Distribution, part of the INEX Group, is seeking an experienced General Manager Distribution to lead the NZ aluminium distribution business from Hamilton or Auckland. This senior role reports to the CEO and shapes strategy, performance and culture.

You’ll drive revenue, margins and customer focus across sales, procurement, inventory and operations, with responsibility for the P&L and capital priorities. A strong leadership track record is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' senior leadership experience in a relevant commercial environment.
• Experience in metals distribution or industrial manufacturing is advantageous.
• Genuine commercial accountability with proven P&L, budgeting and working capital control.
• Strong customer, supplier and stakeholder relationship management.
• Deep understanding of industrial products and value generation.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth, market share, margins and customer profitability.
• Lead key customer relationships, market strategy and new business development.
• Own P&L, budgets, forecasts and working capital management.
• Optimise inventory investment, stock turns and supply chain performance.
• Lead continuous improvement across systems, processes and controls.
• Build a high-performing leadership team with strong succession planning.
